I am sure that all of you have heard of the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Well, Fix Salon Studio is taking part in a charity to help make "oil spill hair mats" which, are made from human hair and help clean up oil spills. The salon will collect all of the hair each day and mail to the non-profit organization, Matter of Trust. One of the statistics on the organization's website is that there are over 370, 0o0 hair salons in the US and each salon collects about one pound of hair a day.
